Our Story

TaylorCraft was founded in 2018 by Donny Taylor, a lifelong craftsman with sawdust in his veins. Donny grew up working alongside his father, a contractor, learning the trade from the ground up. After graduating high school early, he pursued woodworking and cabinetmaking, then spent nearly two decades in the corporate tech world. Armed with a business degree and an MBA, Donny eventually traded boardrooms for tool belts, driven by a desire to return to honest work and create beautiful, lasting spaces for families in Southern Idaho.

Donny Taylor – Founder & Craftsman
Builder, business mind, and the guy who still gets excited about a perfect miter joint.
Lisa Taylor – The-Glue-That-Holds-It-All-Together & Operations Support
Nurse, entrepreneur, and the heart of the family. Lisa also runs a modest clothing store for ladies and helps to keep TaylorCraft running smoothly behind the scenes.
Ryan Taylor – All-Around Craftsman & Future Business Leader
Ryan is Donny and Lisa’s younger son and a key part of the TaylorCraft crew. From the time he was little, Ryan was drawn to tools—his favorite toys were plastic hammers and screwdrivers, and he was always eager to “help” on job sites, even if that meant holding a flashlight or sweeping sawdust. Over the years, that curiosity turned into serious skill. Today, Ryan can do just about anything on a home—from framing and finish work to flooring and cabinets. He’s been learning the trade hands-on for most of his life, and it shows in the quality of his work.
In addition to working full-time with TaylorCraft, Ryan is also attending university full-time, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business. He’s passionate about continuing the family legacy and is already proving himself as a future leader in the company.
Garrett Taylor – Plumbing Pro & Family Crew Member
Garrett is Donny and Lisa’s oldest son and a full-time plumber for a large company in Southern Idaho. With years of hands-on experience and a knack for solving complex plumbing challenges, Garrett brings a valuable skill set to the TaylorCraft team whenever he’s able to jump in. Whether it’s helping with a remodel or lending a hand on a weekend project, Garrett’s craftsmanship and work ethic are a perfect fit for the family business.

We’re proud to be a family business. Lisa and Donny have been married (to each other) since 2000, and together they’ve raised two sons—and a whole crew of “adopted” kids who’ve become part of the family through years of running a Sunday School Bus.
